Getting an ADHD diagnosis can bring enormous relief. But for many adults, something unexpected follows – anger, sadness, and a grief that nobody warned them about.
This free live workshop with psychotherapist Jane Hehir is a space to name that experience, understand it, and start to make peace with it.
Jane is a psychotherapist, an adult with ADHD herself, and the lead instructor on our CBT for Adult ADHD course. She has spent years sitting with people through their ADHD journey, and this is one of the things she sees most consistently – the grief that follows diagnosis is real, it’s common, and almost nobody talks about it.
In this session we’ll explore:
- Why grief is such a common response to an adult ADHD diagnosis
- The anger, sadness and sense of loss that can follow – and why it makes complete sense
- How naming your experience can be the first step towards accepting it
- What it means to stop fighting your brain and start working with it
This workshop is free, live, and open to any adult who has received an ADHD diagnosis or is currently awaiting one.
